| Who We Are We are a volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to finding homes for unwanted, helpless dogs. We are a group of very close friends and family that have joined in the effort to save dogs who have been displaced though no fault of their own. We are not a shelter, we are a rescue! All of our dogs are in loving foster homes until they are placed with their forever families. What We Do We rescue dogs in need if in a kill shelter or puppy mill, we love and care for them, Microchip, & vet them and then adopt them out to loving forever homes. We educate the public on responsible pet care and celebrate the human/animal bond. Adopting A Friend We are looking for homes where the dog you adopt will be a FAMILY member. All dogs MUST be INSIDE dogs. NO YARD DOGS. The adoption fees vary from pet to pet depending on how much DMA Puppy Rescue has spent on the animal medically. All of our dogs are tested for Heartworm disease and put on HW Preventatives and are up to date on all vaccinations. We spay or neuter all of our animals before adopting them out. We require that all pets are kept up to date on their vaccinations recommended by the veterinarian that the new family sees. If you are interested in one of our dogs please fill out the online application. Our adoption process is as follows; when we receive you application it is reviewed by one of our volunteers, it may take several days! If you are approved you will be contacted either by phone, e-mail or both to come and meet the puppy or dog you are interested in. We do not have the manpower to notify every single applicant that apply. There is usually a home visit before and after adoption. DMA Puppy Rescue adoptions are NEVER determined on a first come basis, we choose the most compatible environment for each of our dogs. We are located in Trappe, Pennsylvania (35 minutes west of Philadelphia). |

| All I Ever Needed to Know I Learned From My Dog ~Everyday can be an adventure.~ ~Sometimes a bark is worse than a bite.~ ~It's OK to get excited when you see people you like.~ ~Playtime is important. Run. | Urgent For those who don't know already, Pennsylvania's new Dog Laws have now taken effect, and many breeders have downsized or completely closed their kennels. We, along with many other Rescues all over received hundreds of dogs in the last few weeks, and many more waiting to be surrendered. It's overwhelming, and we need your help! We need supplies: towels, blankets, comforters, paper towels, newspapers, Clorox Cleanup Spray, bleach, laundry detergent, dog beds, piddle pads. We also need dog food...dry and cans! Dog treats and Toys and WaWa gas card for all the long trips!!! |
